TIME • RHYTHM • RETURN
The Sacred Cycle
A rhythm for living through the seasons of your becoming.
The Sacred Cycle is a 13-Passage rhythm for moving through the year with intention, reflection, and room to live at a human pace.
Rather than asking every day to hold the same energy, the Cycle makes space for beginning, tending, expanding, receiving, releasing, restoring, remembering, and returning.
13 Passages. 4 Movements. 1 Sacred Pause.
Begin where you are.
A DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIP WITH TIME
You were never meant to live every day at the same pace.
There are times for beginning. Times for tending. Times for opening, receiving, releasing, restoring, remembering, and returning.
The Sacred Cycle offers a rhythm for honoring these different seasons instead of asking every day to carry the same energy, expectations, or output.
What is asking to begin?
What needs care?
What is ready to expand?
What can be received?
What is complete?
What needs restoration?
What is calling you home?
You do not have to perfectly follow the Cycle.
You simply need somewhere to return.
THIRTEEN PASSAGES • ONE SACRED YEAR
The year unfolds one Passage at a time.
Each Sacred Year begins on the first Sunday on or after the spring equinox and moves through thirteen 28-day Passages. Together, those Passages carry us through a larger rhythm of Sowing, Opening, Receiving, and Returning.
SOW • OPEN • RECEIVE • RETURN
SOW • PASSAGES 1–3
Sowing • Tending • Unfurling
Begin, care for what has been planted, and let early growth reveal itself.
OPEN • PASSAGES 4–6
Blossoming • Widening • Ripening
Open into expression, capacity, visibility, maturation, and patient becoming.
RECEIVE • PASSAGES 7–9
Receiving • Harvest • Shedding
Practice receptivity, gather what has grown, and make room for what is complete.
RETURN • PASSAGES 10–13
Deepening • Restoration • Remembering • Homecoming
Turn inward, replenish, reconnect with what matters, and gather the whole year.
PAUSE • OUTSIDE THE 13
The Sacred Pause
The uncounted threshold between Sacred Years. Rest, listen, honor, release, and remain before the next Sowing begins.
The arc is cyclical, not linear. Homecoming does not mean you are finished. Sowing does not mean you begin from nothing. Each Sacred Year begins with the soil of everything you have already lived.
THE 28-DAY RHYTHM
Four Movements. Four ways of being.
Every Passage is a 28-day container that moves through grounding, spaciousness, intentional action, and integration.
1 • THE ROOTING MOVEMENT
Days 1–7 • Sunday–Saturday
Return to the body. Notice what is here. Establish support. Name what matters without rushing to act.
2 • THE BREATHING MOVEMENT
Days 8–14• Sunday–Saturday
Create room. Listen. Explore. Let the Passage widen around what is emerging.
3 • THE RISING MOVEMENT
Days 15–21 • Sunday–Saturday
Move with intention. Choose what wants expression, embodiment, action, or courageous tending.
4 • THE RETURNING MOVEMENT
Days 22–28 • Sunday–Saturday
Gather what happened. Integrate. Honor what remains unfinished. Prepare to cross the next threshold.
ROOT. helps you feel held.
BREATHE. helps you make room.
RISE. helps you move with intention.
RETURN. helps the experience become part of you.
A Passage is complete because you lived it, not because every prompt was answered or every intention was accomplished.
A WEEKLY THRESHOLD
Every Sunday, we return together.
Sanctuary Sunday is the threshold between Movements and a core rhythm within The Sacred Cycle. It is a space to gather what has been lived, pause long enough to hear yourself, and enter the next seven-day Movement with intention.
Gather → Root → Cross
Gather what has been lived. Root into what comes next. Cross the threshold with intention.
THE WEEKLY GATHERING
Arrive → Witness → Gather → Tend → Release → Carry
A closing ritual for witnessing, tending, and integrating the Movement you have just lived.
THE WEEKLY ROOTING
Return → Receive → Recognize → Root → Anchor → Cross
An opening ritual for intentionally entering the new Movement and anchoring into what is asking to be carried forward.
Root into the Movement.
Live the Movement.
Gather the wisdom.
Return to the root.
THREE KINDS OF SANCTUARY SUNDAY
The ritual remains rooted in return, but some Sundays hold a deeper threshold than others.
MOVEMENT THRESHOLD SUNDAY
Closes one seven-day Movement and welcomes the next.
Gather → Pause → Root → Cross
PASSAGE THRESHOLD SUNDAY
Closes the Returning Movement and the full Passage, then opens the next Passage.
Weekly Gathering → Passage Closing → Passage Opening → Weekly Rooting
SACRED YEAR THRESHOLD SUNDAY
The deepest yearly threshold between Homecoming and Sowing. The Sacred Pause is honored before the new Sacred Year is entered.
Weekly Gathering → Passage Closing → Sacred Pause → Passage Opening → Weekly Rooting
This passage is gathered.
The next threshold can be entered from here.
